27-12-12 Professor Syed Ershad Ali, former Professor & Head of Dept. Gynecology & Obstetrics and Principal, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College died on December 21, 2012 – Inna lillahe wa inna illaihe rajeun. He was a renowned Gynecologist of Bangladesh and honorable Founder member, Life member and First Vice Chairman of the Liver Foundation of Bangladesh. Professor Syed Ershad Ali was a talented and dedicated teacher of Gynecology & Obstetrics. He showed keen interest for the noble cause of the Liver Foundation of Bangladesh and played significant role as patron in important aspects of the foundation since its beginning. He offered dedicated services at different capacities at Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, Rajshahi Medical College & Hospital, National Medical College & Hospital and Bangladesh Medical College & Hospital. He was also a member & Vice President of AOFOG (Asia Oceanic Federation of Obs. & Gynae). He is survived by his family members, students, friends and patients.
